Update registration and login methods on Nami Exchange (Updated April 2025)

Dear Nami Community,


To enhance user experience, Nami Exchange is pleased to announce updates to account registration and login methods, effective from 2025-04-18 09:00 (UTC). The updates are as follows:

  • Updates on  account registration. 
  • Updates on account login methods.
  • Addition of a password recovery option via registered phone number.
  • Update on  the primary account security method.

Below is the detailed update information.


1.Account registration method updates


1.1. Enabling account registration via phone number

Step 1: When registering an account, users need to provide the following information:

  • Phone number
  • Referral code (if available)

Then, select "Continue"

Step 2: Type a 6-digit verification code which is sent to your registered phone number.

Step 3: Enter and confirm your password.

Note: Each phone number can only be used for one account and cannot be registered if it already exists in the system.

1.2. Ending support for account registration via Facebook

Starting from 2025-04-18 09:00 (UTC), signing up for a Nami Exchange account via Facebook will no longer be supported. Users can create a new account using Google, Apple Sign-in, email, or via phone number instead.


2.Account login method updates


2.1. Enabling account login via phone number

Starting from 2025-04-18 09:00 (UTC), users will be able to log in to their accounts using their registered phone numbers.


How to login via phone number

On the login screen, select the Phone Number section, then enter your registered phone number and password. After that, select "Log In".

If this is the first login on a new device, users will be required to enter a 6-digit verification code sent to their registered phone number.

2.2. Ending support for account login via Facebook

To ensure the security of accounts, will no longer support account login via Facebook from 2025-04-18 09:00 (UTC). Users currently using this login method are required to update their phone number or email before 2025-05-18 09:00 (UTC). This update enhances security and ensures a smoother login experience for future access.


How to update login information:

Step 1: On the login screen, select the Facebook icon to log in.

Step 2: After logging in via Facebook, users will be prompted to update their login information. Select "Update" to proceed to the Update Information screen.

Step 3: Enter your phone number or email and set a password. These credentials will be used for future logins. Then, select "Update."

The system will send a 6-digit OTP to the registered phone number or email. Once the verification is successful, the login information will be updated, and users can use these credentials for future logins.

Note: For accounts logged in via Facebook that have not updated their information before 2025-05-18 09:00 (UTC), users are required to contact customer support for assistance.


3.Enabling password recovery via registered phone number

Users can now reset their passwords using their registered phone number, instead of only via email as before. For accounts registered via Google, Apple Sign-in, or Facebook, if no password was previously set, please contact customer support for further assistance.

How to reset login password via phone number

Step 1: On the Login screen, select "Forgot Password".

Step 2: Enter the registered phone number associated with your account.

Step 3: Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your phone number. Once the OTP verification is successfully completed, users will be able to set a new password and log in again.

4.Updating primary security authentication for accounts

Email and phone number are the two primary authentication methods used for asset withdrawals and account information modifications. Users can flexibly adjust their authentication method by following 02 steps below:

Step 1: In the Security section under the Account menu, select "Authentication Method".

Step 2: Choose one of the two primary authentication methods: Phone number or email. All verification codes will be sent according to the selected setting.

Note: If a user registers an account using a phone number, it will be set as the default authentication method.
